I'm a single 63-year-old female
living in Los Angeles, California. I came
here from Auburn, Washington in l964. I have two children, Carter,
born March 25, 1964 and Mary, born July 27, 1967. I have operated a letter
remailing service for many years. I'm a photographer of classic rock
bands--original groups from the 50's and rockabilly. Join the Rockabilly Hall of Fame
and win prizes. Some of my photos are used on Gene
Vincent's Blue Caps (l957-58) web site. The Los Angeles in-spot for
good groups currently is the House of Blues.
The service provider I have been using is Verizon. Hurricane Electric is hosting
my web page.
Magic is not something
I am knowledgeable about but I was a member of the world- famous
Magic
Castle for several years.
I am involved in several local
democratic
organizations. I am currently an alternate member of Los
Angeles Democratic County Committee from the 44th Assembly District.
In the past, I was Delegation Chair of my AD (County Committee). I have
been a delegate to the California
Democratic Council Convention for the past nine years. I have recently
been active in the Foothills Democratic Club of Pasadena. I have been a
delegate to the California State Democratic Convention for the past eight
years.
Back in the middle to late l960's, shortly after my arrival in Los Angeles,
I sold psychedelic buttons and underground newspapers, mainly on Sunset
Strip and at the love-ins. The most noteworthy of the newspapers was
the Los Angeles Free Press,
published by Art Kunkin
I love pets--at one time I had 2 squirrel monkeys, a spider monkey,
several alligators (one was 3 fee long), lizards a toad and a rat snake. I currently have no animals. My cat, Sybil,
born in 1982, passed away in December 2001-living almost 20 years.
The sport I follow most avidly is ice skating. I attended the World
Ice Skating championships in Cincinnati, Ohio in June l987. in the future. I attended
the l998 Tour of World Figure Skating Champions in Los Angeles and have gone every year since. I plan to attend other ice
skating competitions in the future. I recently attended the National Ice Skating Championships and final Exhibition held
at Staples in Los Angeles in January.
I am a chocoholic and am proud
of it. At a chcolate convention at the Los Angeles Convention Center several years ago, using
my press card, I obtained a sample from EVERY booth--taking four hours.
I ate all samples within couple of days. I have not heard of a chocolate
event there since. I must have eaten them out of business.
I love jewelry and buy most of my earrings from Harry
Mason at one of the Harvest Fesitivals. If you buy any earrings from
him, please mention my name. I also now have begun to make bead jewelry.
I enjoy foreign travel and have been to several countries--my favorite
area being the Caribbean.
I have been to Hedonism II
in Jamaica four times. It is similar to a Club Med except that it includes
liquor 20 hours a day instead of only wine at lunch and dinner. Its main
attraction is its clothing optional beach. A similar club is the one at
Loreto, Baja where I have gone. I took a trip across Europe traveling through
Russia for eight days during August l991. During my two days in Moscow,
the Coup broke out. One of my more interesting trips was the one in which
I spent a week in Israel and a week in Egypt. In December 1997, I flew
to St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. I ferried to St. John, then to the
British Virgin Islands, staying on a boat in Tortola for several days with
a couple I met. While in Tortola, I ferried to Jost Van Dyke and took a
schooner trip to Virgin Gorda and Cooper Island. Upon leaving Tortola,
I ferried to St. Thomas (US Virgin Islands) and flew home. In June 1999,
I traveled to China for a week.
In July I took my seventh trip to Roatan
one of the Bay Islands, about 40 miles off the north coast of Honduras.
On my first trip, I stayed at The
Inn of Last Resort. On the other trips, I stayed at a quarter share cabana that
I purchased from Remax--I own the months of May, June and July. I would be interested in renting
my unit during those months. Let me hear from you if
you are interested. Roatan is mostly English speaking with fantastic weather,
seldom getting over 85 degrees. I also have 3/4 of an acre on another Bay
Island, Utila. The property is 200 feet from a beautiful beach, assessible
by boat.
I do volunteer work, mostly for homeless organizations. I am always looking
for new places to help out.
I try to watch the David
Letterman show to get his nightly top ten list. When I don't have time
to watch, I play catch up by accessing different shows on the Top Ten Archives web site.
